The unique building with its exceptional monumental details offers a high level of finishing, especially in terms of sustainability and aesthetics. All office floors are fitted with wooden parquet, and in addition to the first-class sanitary facilities on each floor, there is a shower room in the basement, designed with materials that reflect the building’s history. Original elements such as the front facade marquises for light and heat protection are replaced according to the original design, and the authentic stained-glass windows are visible again. A beautiful tribute to the roots of Raadhuisstraat 50.

Thanks to an extra storey, a completely new facade, fittings and installations, the building at Buitenveldertselaan 148 will be future-proof and have an imposing appearance. The new façade elements consist of large glass façades and deep frames with aluminium profiles with rods. The use of a lot of glass, aluminium, light-grey granite strips on the floors and dark ceramic tiles create a modern, businesslike look. But above all, the new design by Dam & Partners Architects gives the building an open, transparent and accessible character. The recognisable and inviting entrance contributes greatly to this. Because the new roof structure is set back from the facade line, a roof terrace is created with a view of Amsterdam’s greenest district.

The modern office building with a 100% wooden support structure made of cross-laminated timber (CLT) offers two extra-high storeys with maximum freedom of layout. This makes the building suitable as office space, but also as a studio, clinic or (sports) studio, for example. Both floors function independently and share the common entrance. The interior breathes a warm atmosphere thanks to the sustainable, energy-efficient wooden construction and floors. Energy-efficient installations and natural light ensure a pleasant indoor climate.

Apollolaan 171 is a design with a double character. With fine stonework, it marks a delicate and unassuming addition to a neighborhood that prides itself on its rich history. The side of the building that overlooks the Apollolaan is characterized by interlocking pieces of glass, as if they were a jigsaw puzzle. The transparent glass front gives the building an open and inviting appearance and provides natural light inside. The green marble used to decorate the lobby and the central hall stylishly matches the greenery of the numerous trees outside.

The central entrance is located on the corner. At the rear, the building is semi-detached, creating terraces that are planted with leafy greenery.

With the removal of the later added floor, the press hall, now an imposing retail space, was restored to its former glory. Furthermore, daylight was created in several places, a link was made with the Kalverstraat and a sophisticated, two-part routing was constructed. At the top of the monument, in the office of Guerrilla Games, is a panoramic floor with a breathtaking view of the city. The redevelopment turns the former newspaper and bank building into another distinct icon.

A gasless climate system was installed and the window frames were replaced with similar insulated aluminium profiles with triple glazing. To emphasise the lightness of the building, a glass lift shaft with a slender steel staircase was installed, which connects the three floors in a spatial manner. In addition, the windows in the lower office floor have been considerably enlarged. The entrance has been restored to its former glory, adding contemporary comfort. Electric glass sliding doors and a generous and transparent entrance hall welcome the new tenant.
