After welcoming the first residents in September, Kroonenberg Groep has now rented out all 32 flats in Lindershof. Lindershof is a unique transformation project in the heart of Dordrecht.

The former iconic Lindershuis department store was transformed into a beautiful residential building, retaining commercial space for existing tenant Costes on the ground and first floors on the shopping street side. With its attention to detail and preservation of historical elements, Lindershof is a great example of successful urban renewal.

The building’s facades have been restored with the utmost care according to the design by architectural firm Rijnboutt, with old and new blending seamlessly thanks to subtly placed windows. Kroonenberg Groep commissioned architect Tim Versteegh to design residences within the building’s existing structure. The result: 32 beautiful, ingeniously integrated flats.

Costes remains located at the end of the Lindershuis, preserving the liveliness of the shopping street. At the rear of the building, the flats have industrial balconies opening to an attractive courtyard that provides tranquillity and privacy to residents. In the monumental part of the building, the former atrium of the Lindershuis has been reopened to provide the adjacent maisonettes with a light, airy entrance on these upper floors.

The full letting of all flats in the Lindershof brings this ambitious development project to a successful conclusion. Kroonenberg Groep was assisted in the letting by Q Makelaars.

Centre Ville, the new apartment complex on the corner of Kanaalstraat and Heereweg in Lisse, is ready for delivery. On Friday 19 January, the symbolic handover of keys took place between Alderman Jolanda Langeveld, Olaf Nieuwenhuis of Kroonenberg Groep and Kim van der Kroft, the proud new owner of one of the flats. The handover signaled the start of project delivery.

Kroonenberg Groep acquired the business premises from Mijnders Meubelen in 2008. In 2015, the Municipality of Lisse approached Kroonenberg Groep with a request to redevelop the building. This was the start of the ambitious project to transform it into a building primarily for residential use, with space for commercial purposes on the ground floor.

Prompted by input from within the neighbourhood and changes in the market for commercial spaces, architect Tim Versteegh’s original design underwent some adjustments during the zoning process. The ultimate focus was on creating a contemporary living environment, equipped for hybrid working and living. Centre Ville provides 24 owner-occupied flats, six of which are connected to a ground-floor commercial space located on the shopping street. The ‘box of blocks’ has given way to a variety of volumes, details and use of colour. The light and airy spaces and plenty of glass in the façade create vibrancy befitting a shopping street.

Centre Ville will make an important contribution to Lisse’s townscape. The project embodies a seamless integration of modern living and business, with respect for the existing urban structure and the wishes of the community at its core.

Demolition work started in 2021 and construction began in summer 2022. All flats will be delivered by early February.
