Kroonenberg Groep and ProWinko have reached an agreement with both The Sting and Scapino for long-term leases in Markthof in Hoofddorp. Scapino was already located at Markthof 226 and has extended the existing contract for its retail location providing approx. 950 m². With its new contract, The Sting has expanded its retail location at Markthof 234-244 to include Markthof 230-232. After the alterations, the area being leased on the ground floor will provide approx. 680 m² with another approx. 1180 m² on the first floor.

Markthof is a modern shopping, residential and office location in the centre of Hoofddorp. The complex also has its own parking garage providing 179 parking spaces. In addition to The Sting and Scapino, the centre also accommodates such tenants as Primark, Hennes & Mauritz, Zeeman and Febo. With these lease transactions, Markthof is again fully occupied.

Kroonenberg Groep and ProWinko began a major redevelopment of Markthof in 2010. Once an introverted, uninviting shopping centre, it has become just the opposite: inviting and highly attractive. This has prepared Markthof, according to the jury who awarded it the 2012 NRW Annual Award, for a long-term, sustainable future. The redevelopment project has made Hoofddorp’s entire city centre much more attractive for consumers and has given it a major economic boost.

The Sting was represented in this transaction by KroesePaternotte. Gofield & Only advised the landlord regarding the extension of Scapino’s lease.
