The redevelopment of de Barones is over: the transformation is complete. With the recent opening of Hudson’s Bay and Bershka, the soon-to-open Pull & Bear and the familiar existing shops, de Barones will provide an attractive mix of brands. This completely renovated shopping arcade is once again a vital centre of activity in the City of Breda.

In cooperation with 3W Real Estate, Rijnboutt and KroesePaternotte, Kroonenberg Groep developed plans to enlarge the retail areas on the first floor to include space on the ground floor in order to create larger units. This has made the first floor accessible from a shop’s ground floor, as is the case for shops like The Sting, Open 32, Mango and Van Uffelen. This development will thus eliminate the escalators located out in the shopping centre and will provide a central area accommodating Koffie bij Teun.

Many of the existing lessees such as H&M, The Body Shop, Tierelantijn, Etos, Hugo Boss and Boulanger also renovated their retail units. In addition, new retail chains such as Vitaminstore, T-Mobile and Only opened locations in the shopping centre.

There are therefore plenty of reasons to celebrate the completion of the transformation of de Barones with a grand opening. For four days - 7 through 10 December - visitors will have fantastic chances to win wonderful prizes in the ball game known as X-BALLR. The prizes up for grabs on each day will be made available by one of the shops in the shopping centre. You might even win the extra prize of the day: 250 euros shopping credit to spend in de Barones.

And as if this weren’t festive enough, you’ll also be eligible every day to win a meet & greet and to enjoy great shows by special performers who will also be giving extra prizes away.

The entire programme for this 4-day celebration is available at: www.barones.nl
