Wagamama leases space in The Bank
In the summer of 2011, the 5th branch of Wagamama Benelux B.V. will open its doors in The Bank, located at Amstelstraat / Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam. Renovation of the location on the ground floor in The Bank will commence in mid-February 2011.
Wagamama is a global chain of noodle restaurants, based on Pan-Asian cuisine. Wagamama has its roots in London, where the first restaurant was opened in 1992. The quick cuisine was inspired by the window bars that have been popular in Japan for centuries. The Wagamama philosophy is 'tasty, fresh and nutritious food in an elegant but simple setting with helpful, friendly service and value for money'. Wagamama currently has more than 100 restaurants worldwide.
Wagamama Benelux B.V. has already opened branches in Amsterdam (Max Euweplein and Zuidplein), Groningen (Vismarkt) and Antwerp (De Keyserlei).
Like Marqt and Ajax Experience, Wagamama is a tenant with international appeal. This fits within the vision of the Kroonenberg Groep in interpreting its project, The Bank. The recently opened George Deli USA is a good addition to the concept.
Cushman & Wakefield and HB Kroese Paternotte were involved in the lease deal on behalf of the tenant. B&O acted as rental agent for Wagamama.
