Stedin Netbeheer to establish a new office at Blaak 8 Rotterdam
Kroonenberg Groep has concluded a lease agreement with Stedin Netbeheer B.V. for the establishment of its new office in the Blaak8 office building in Rotterdam. The building was developed by Blauwhoed Groep B.V. and is owned by Kroonenberg Groep. Stedin will take the building into use at the beginning of 2012. The organization employs 1,200 people.
The 19 storey office building is located in the centre of Rotterdam on the corner of Verlengde Willemsbrug and Blaak, and has been fully let to Stedin.
The building, designed by Group A architects, has approximately 13,500 m2 of office space and offers 166 parking spaces.
Through the use of an innovative energy concept, an A+ energy label will be achieved. Blaak8 will thus be one of the most sustainable office buildings in Rotterdam.
The new building will be delivered in July 2011. Jeroen de Swart, director of Stedin: 'For us, Blaak8 means a combination of our strengths. The vast majority of Stedin employees, who are currently employed at various locations, will work at Blaak8. The new office embodies our ambitions regarding integration and cooperation and emphasizes our mission in respect of sustainability.'
Stedin was advised by Jones Lang LaSalle in this transaction. The developer was advised by Fakton. DTZ Zadelhoff was involved as the letting agent for Blaak8.
