The Sting and Hennes & Mauritz lease retail space in shopping centre Markthof in Hoofddorp
Prowinko and Kroonenberg Groep, who are realising the renovated Markthof in Hoofddorp, have reached agreement with The Sting and Hennes & Mauritz.
Building work is in full swing on the site where the Markthof shopping centre formerly stood, with the aim of delivering the shops on schedule in the third quarter of 2010. Following realisation, the shops in Markthof will be accessible from the street on three sides only, namely Marktplein, Marktlaan and Kruisweg.
The retail spaces in Markthof are located on the ground floor and the 1st floor, and have a total floor area of approximately 13,000 m2. On the 2nd floor is the public car park, with approximately 180 parking spaces. Access to this car park will be from the Kruisweg. Located above this will be 49 apartments with 70 dedicated parking spaces, and commercial spaces of approximately 2,000 m2 are planned. The architecture of the commercial space in particular will be a real landmark for Hoofddorp.
The Sting has leased a space of approximately 665 m2 on the ground floor and approximately 1,200 m2 on the 1st floor, located on the corner of Marktlaan and Marktplein square.
Hennes & Mauritz has taken on a 760 m2 unit next to this on the ground floor, with approximately 1,300 m2 on the 1st floor.
Agreement had previously been reached at an earlier stage with Zeeman, Chinese restaurant Jasmin, Febo, Scapino, Geox Schoenen, Cook & Co., Nelson Schoenen and De Haas jewellers.
Markthof is an investment by Kroonenberg Groep and Prowinko. Architecten Cie carried out the architecture. HB Kroese Paternotte from Amsterdam and IVN from The Hague are in charge of letting.
