Kroonenberg Groep acquires retail portfolio from Philips Pension Fund
This afternoon, the abovementioned parties reached agreement on the sale of the sizeable retail property portfolio of Philips Pension Fund. More than 80% of this portfolio is located in Amsterdam and includes the attractive shopping centres Groot Gelderlandplein and Osdorpplein. The other properties are located in Rotterdam and Eindhoven.
This was the largest retail transaction in the Netherlands this year. The portfolio encompasses approximately
67,000 m2 of retail space, approx. 20,000 m2 of office space, 270 appartements and 4 car parks.
Kroonenberg Groep acquired this portfolio on the basis of its ambition to obtain large retail positions within the larger core retail areas of the Netherlands, and thereby guarantee its qualitative growth on the long term. Kroonenberg Groep already owns the De Barones shopping centre in Breda, the Hilvertshof shopping centre in Hilversum and the Hoogvliet shopping centre in Rotterdam-Hoogvliet.
Kroonenberg Groep was advised in this purchase by Epac Property Counselors, Houthoff Buruma N.V. and law firm Lexence Advocaten & Notarissen.
The sale took place through a tendering process supervised by CB Richard Ellis and Loyens & Loeff.
